Welcome to our home at 1140 and 1150 Parkwest Place in Mississauga. Our front door is always open to visitors and guests. When you enter and have announced yourself you will turn left to 1140 and right to 1150 unless you are going to the party room. Two medium rise twelve story towers comprise the complex, the right hand tower is 1150 Parkwest Place (PCC 640) and the left hand tower is 1140 Parkwest Place (PSCC 675). They share common elements including the lobby, recreation facilities, parking, party and meeting rooms and a hobby room. 1150 was occupied beginning 2000 and 1140 in 2002. Each building operates as a separate corporation with a board of directors and an operating budget. The same management company is contracted to both ensuring excellent service for the residents. The towers are centre piece of a complex of town house condominiums built on a block of abandoned industrial land at the corner of Cawthra Road and Atwater Avenue in a community known as Lakeview in the south east corner of Mississauga bordering Lake Ontario. Walmart is coming!!!Some residents might think having a huge Walmart Store within a ten minute walk of our Condo homes will be wonderful but many others are horrified at the prospect. What might be wrong with it? Do you think the traffic on Lakeshore Road between Cawthra and the Beer Store is bad now. Wait until Walmart and Costco are plugged into the old factory site across the road. It is a fact that whenever Walmart invade a community it kills the exisitng small businesses and merchants. Lakeshore Road looks pretty ratty from Lonbranch to Port Credit now but wait until the shops that are there are closed up. It won't be pretty. See more on the Comments Page. |
